After visiting the Jamie Oliver Restaurant in Cardiff, the Pathway Group were inspired to try and make their own pasta from scratch.

This was a great success and the group loved the whole process - they had fresh pasta for tea that night.

Some of the group are pictured fixing the pasta machine to the worktop and then working together to produce the finished product.

SPORTS SUPERSTARS

Amy Taylor, of Year 8, whose favourite sport is hockey, enjoys all types of sport and plays netball (wing attack) for school and county teams and at hockey she plays right wing for Pembrokeshire County Under 14s and Tenby Ladies. Her best sporting achievement so far is being selected for the Welsh development in hockey. She has also represented the school at the county sports event, running the 100m and 200m. Amy's sporting idol is Usain Bolt because he wins with ease and looks like he is enjoying himself. For the future, Amy would like to play for Pembrokeshire again this year and one day play at national level.

Libby Sheldon, also of Year 8, enjoys both netball and hockey, playing hockey for Pembrokeshire County U14s and Tenby Ladies. Libby has also been captain of the Year 8 hockey team. Libby admires the Welsh captain and Great Britain player Sarah Thomas and would like to represent Wales and Great Britain at hockey in the Olympic Games herself in the future. Her personal sporting achievement so far was being selected to attend the Welsh Development Centre for hockey.
