Friday, June 17, saw another Pembrokeshire Enterprise Fair with schools from around the county involved.
Greenhill School was present with two stalls selling a range of products produced by Year 8 students. Nifty Gifts, Seaside Boutique, Terre Blanche, Pembrokeshire Coastal Coasters and Fruits R Us were the businesses in question. Months of preparation, resulted in hand-made bags, notepads, coasters and signs being sold alongside strawberries, fruit salad, soaps and bath bombs. Despite weather approaching winter temperatures and horizontal rain, spirits were kept high by the nearby karaoke from Hakin Junior School. All businesses taking part made a profit, so a big well done and congratulations to our students who took part.

GREENHILL'S 50th ANNIVERSARY
We will be celebrating 50 years of Ysgol Greenhill School. We first opened our doors to pupils in September 1961. We appeal to all former pupils and staff members to help; we would like to mount an exhibition covering the last five decades. If you could please possibly have a rummage around at home and find any photos or memorabilia of your years at Greenhill that you would be willing to let us borrow to put on our display boards. Also, any anecdotes or stories we could print for our displays would help the evening to be fun. The 50th anniversary concert will be on Thursday, September 15, at 7.30 pm in the Main Hall. We are planning further events, please watch this space.

GREENHILL NETS FOOTIE WIN
Girls from across Pembrokeshire took to the pitch at the weekend for an annual football tournament.
Over 70 pupils from six of the county's secondary schools competed in glorious sunshine in the third 5x60 inter-school football competition in Tenby on Sunday.
The event was won by the team from Greenhill School, which beat Ysgol y Preseli 1-0 in the final.
Organised by Sport Pembrokeshire - the sports development arm of Pembrokeshire County Council - the 5x60 project aims to encourage secondary school pupils to take part in extra curricular activities, while getting fit at the same time.
Clr. Rob Lewis, cabinet member for sport and leisure, said: "5x60 girls' football clubs were now running in all of the county's secondary schools.
"The introduction of activities such as girl's football and street dance symbolise the changes that we are trying to make in secondary school sport. Girls football is an extremely popular 5x60 activity as shown by the turn out at Sunday's competition."
Russell Jones, 5x60 manager for Sport Pembrokeshire, said football engaged large number of girls in healthy and regular exercise.
"The standard at the competition was very high and contestants and spectators thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
The girls football programme is sponsored by Chevron's 'Energy for Learning' programme.
