Members of Greenhill's drama club recently competed in the drama competition.
In this they must devise a short play suitable for a primary school audience which teaches the viewers something.
This year saw a particularly high standard of entries and the judges, Kate Campbell, Donna Barnsley, Angelo Rossi and Paul Regimbal, found it particularly difficult to select three winning groups. In the end, four groups were chosen, with two of them splitting the two days between them.
The winning plays were: The Talent Show starring Kate and Lauren Williams, Rebecca Griffiths and Jade Thomas (team work is best); A Magical Story starring Calli Keane, Ella Brace, Jasmin Hicks, Katie Evans and Cerys Swales (never lie); The Odd One Out starring Emily Carling, Emily Waters, Sophie Williams, Amy Deverson and Amy Rolinson (don't judge a book by its cover); and Indiana Jones and the Bully Chicken starring Harrison Sharp, Tom Wooles, Niall Quinn, Zakk Thomas and Matthew Harris (don't bully).
On June 23 and 24, these plays were performed at local primary schools, where they were enjoyed very much.
