QUIZ NIGHT

The annual Greenhill quiz night is planned for Friday, March 13, at Tenby Sailing Club. Posters will be on display throughout the town shortly. This is always a popular event with a good general knowledge base to the questions. If you are interested in entering a team, please contact the school reception to book a table - this is advisable, as it usually gets pretty full.

SPORTS SUPERSTARS

Greenhill School is fortunate to have an unending supply of talent.

Highlighted here are two of our most promising pupils:

James Oakley, of 10AMB: James plays rugby, cricket, football and tennis, but his favourite is rugby and best personal achievement was gaining Welsh Rugby Union Level 1 referee qualification when he was just 13. He would like to one day be an International rugby referee like Wayne Barnes who he most admires.

Hannah Lewis, of 9LKM: Hannah plays centre midfield at football her favourite sport, as well as hockey and netball. Her love of football reflects in her sporting favourite - Wayne Rooney. Her best personal sporting achievement was being selected for the Football Welsh Development Squad and she was picked to play for West Wales under 14s netball and captaining both netball and hockey under 14s at county level. Her wish is that one day, maybe, to get a Welsh cap in football, hockey or netball.

Both these students show the high level of commitment that our students put into their chosen sports and we have many more - watch this column for further insights into our sporting superstars.
