Friends of Greenhill

Tomorrow (Saturday), there will be a jazz night at Cresswell Quay - a fun evening of good music along with various stalls and activities and the FOG members will again man their famous 'Tortilla Wrap' Grill, so supper is sorted! All funds raised will go to Greenhill School. Please go along and support this event, make new friends and have some fun.

Preparations for new intake

Last week, on Thursday, July 5, a number of sixth formers travelled to local primary schools to introduce themselves to the Year 6 pupils coming to Greenhill, for their 'Induction' the following day. On the Friday, the Year 6 pupils were allocated their form groups and introduced to their form tutors, each form had a few sixth formers to help escort the new students around the school from class to class and answer questions. They followed a five- lesson timetable, with each form having a variety of subjects to experience. These newcomers were allowed some free time during break and lunch to explore the school grounds on their own. It is hoped that all the Year 6s had a good day and staff and fellow pupils look forward to seeing them in September. Look for the CHIPs room and any sixth former wearing the telephone badge; they are always friendly and willing to listen.

END OF TERM

Friday, July 20 - last day of term (buses leave at 1.45 pm). Students return to school on Thursday, September 6.
