FREE SCHOOL MEALS

Are you missing out on £1.50 for a free meal for your child every school day (£285 per year). In order for an applicant to qualify for free school meals either the parent/legal guardian or student themselves must be in receipt of either: Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance, Income-based only(JSAIB). Contribution based Jobseekers Allowance does not qualify (JSACB). Child Tax Credits only, with an annual household income of under £13,910pa. Please note: Working Tax Credits does not qualify even if received in addition to these benefits. If an applicant receives Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits, but their annual household income is still under £13,910, they still do not qualify. As a guide, an applicant's annual household income is usually stated on a TC602 Tax Credits Summary/Award Notice.

QUIZ NIGHT

On Thursday, March 23, Greenhill School - Princes Trust are holding a quiz night at Tenby Sailing Club, doors open at 7 pm and the quiz starts at 7.30 (teams of four-six). There are magnificent prizes to be won and there will be a raffle and a 'PoundaSquare' mystery. If anyone would care to make a donation towards the prizes please contact the school.

UNDER 15s EXCEL AT TOURNAMENT

Greenhill Under 15s rugby team showed great determination and outstanding tenacity to win the Pembrokeshire Under 15s tournament held at Sir Thomas Picton school on Tuesday, February 14. In the first round, Greenhill defeated Pembroke 22 -0. Try scorers were Dan McDermott, Yannic Parker, Andrew Evans and Jack Baker. Jack Guerriero converted a try. In the second round, Milford were defeated by 19 points to 0. Try scorers were Jack Guerriero, Sam Ferguson and Jamie Williams and Jack Guerriero converted two. The semi-final against Tasker Milward XV proved to be a difficult obstacle, but confidence in their own ability and some outstanding tackling by the whole team won the day and Roy Osbourne scoring a spectacular try from 40-yards. Jack Guerriero converted to create a 7-0 winning score. In the final, Greenhill again met Milford Comprehensive who proved to be more difficult opponents than in the previous rounds. Many of the moves learnt on the training field were put to good use and Greenhill emerged victorious by 12 points to seven after extra time. Andrew Evans and Yannic Parker scored the tries, with Jack Guerriero adding the conversion.
