YEAR 10 ENTERPRISE
The whole of year group was involved in an enterprise activity running from September 2002 until Christmas. The aim of the activity was to give students a taste of the real world by offering them the opportunity to start up and run their own small business. Fifty-six companies were formed, 16 actually traded and all of those made a profit. The total profit was £496, given to charity. Most of the money went to Cancer Research, the charity chosen by the year group, with some going to CLAPA and The Alzheimer's Society.
Three companies, Divine Creations, First Choice and OOO Advertising, did exceptionally well. They presented their business report to Mr. David Hunt, Mrs. Hicks and Ms Bailey. OOO Advertising was selected to represent Greenhill School in the Celtic Enterprise Competition.
On Wednesday, February 12, the company gave their presentation before two judges. They have been invited to an enterprise exhibition in Ireland, representing one of 13 schools from West Wales. Congratulations go to Jonathan Chandler, Robert Fieldhouse and Joseph Llama.
