Sixth Form

Admissions Evening

Last Wednesday was the Sixth Form Admissions Evening when students and parents could come into School to see what courses will be offered for Sixth Form students starting their studies next September.

A large number of students and parents took advantage of this very successful evening and all faculties reported plenty of interest in their courses.

Students are reminded to return their completed application forms to their form tutors by February 7.

Mrs. Jones, Head of Sixth Form, will be pleased to answer any queries that students or parents might have and can be contacted by telephoning the school.

Hockey

On Thursday, January 16, the U16s hockey team played Sir Thomas Picton. The team was Kate Lamb, Chloe Laing, Nicola Aston, Jess Ormonde, Jessica Fromant, Holly Watkins, Phoebe Osborne, Steph James, Amy John, Penny Young and Becca Simpson.

It was a hard match against a very good team but Greenhill played their best game yet resulting in a 2-0 victory. Both goals were scored by Becca Simpson. Player of the match was Penny Young.

The U18s also played Sir Thomas Picton on the same day with Greenhill starting off well with forwards Sammy, Sally and Kelly creating scoring opportunities although Sir Thomas Picton held up a strong defence.

The first half ended as a scoreless draw. Sir Thomas Picton started off well in the second half pressurising the Greenhill defence, but there was no hope for them with Imelde Rossi in defence ! The final score was 0-0 with Selina Morgan (goalkeeper) woman of the match with her spectacular saving.
