On Wednesday, May 23 Greenhill School's Year 8 and 9 boys competed against Tasker Milward at tennis.
Year 8 results were as follows:

Doubles - Luke and Craig Guymer won 4-3; Nicky Cope and Adam Ball won 4-2; Jonathan Walker and Eddy Winn-Jones lost 4-6.
The overall result for our Year 8 tennis players was a Greenhill win of 5 sets to 4.

Year 9 results were as follows:
Singles - Owen Evans lost 4-6; Craig Adams won 6-0; Dan Cope won 6-2; Ben Hughes won 6-1; Liam Robson won 6-2; Jack Christopher won 6-4; Darren Taylor won 6-0; Ricky Rees-Thomas won 6-3.
Doubles - Owen Evans and Craig Adams won 6-2; Dan Cope lost Ben Hughes lost 6-3; Liam Robson & Jack Christopher lost 1-6; Darren Taylor & Ricky Rees-Thomas won 6-3.
The overall result for Year 9 was a win of 10 sets to 2. An excellent result, well done !
Library
Quiz
The second Friday Challenge took place in the School Library during lunch-time on Friday, May 25. Many teams entered to win the sought after prizes (chocolates!), and a great deal of fun was had by all.
The results are, as follows:
1. 'I am the weakest link, goodbye'; 2. Too Cool 2; 3. Joanna Randles & Poppy Brace.
Government and Politics
With the national election dominating the news, Year 12 Government and Politics students held their own election in School. The Year 12 students (Jamie Hutchinson, Melanie Meyer, Sam Bradley & Luc Jenkins) put themselves forwards as candidates, eagerly trying to impress the 'electorate', comprising Year 10 students.
The four major parties were involved, and campaigning took place from May 15 to 18.
The election was held on May 18, using a computer system that the students had developed specifically for the task.
The eagerly awaited results will be announced next week: watch this space !
Back to School
School will resume for the second half of the Summer Term on Monday, June 4.
