Serious assault
Police in Tenby are seeking witnesses to a serious assault which occurred in the town on Saturday night. The incident began within the Three Mariners Inn at 11.50 pm before continuing in St. George Street moments later. One male person has been arrested in connection with the assault. Affray investigated
An incident in Tenby over the weekend involving a fight between two groups of youths is being investigated by the town's police. The affray broke out at the lower end of Tudor Square on Saturday at around 4 pm and continued onto the North Beach area. One male was treated at Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest after suffering a cut to his head, while another sustained bruising to his back. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Tenby police station on 0845 330 2000.
Student injured
Shortly before 2.30 pm on Wednesday Milford Haven Coastguard received a call reporting that a 20-year-old female student from Bangor University had slipped and knocked her head while on a field trip in the Laugharne Estuary. Tenby and Manorbier coast rescue teams were tasked to assist the Air Ambulance Helimed 57, airlift her to Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen, where she received medical attention.
Boys rescued
Two teenage boys had to be rescued from a dinghy off Tenby's First Point on Wednesday afternoon after getting into difficulties in the water. Tenby RNLI's inshore lifeboat responded to the call shortly before 4.30 pm after spotting the dinghy whilst out on exercise Tenby coastguard rescue team also attended and issued suitable safety advice, but no medical assistance was required. "The two local teenage boys were very fortunate that the inshore lifeboat was out on exercise and had witnessed them capsizing due to bad weather. The outcome of this incident could so easily have been very different," said a coastguard spokesperson.
