Chimney fire
Firefighters from Narberth dealt with a chimney fire at 61 St. James Street at 10.21 am on Monday. The chimney was well alight on the arrival of the brigade and the occupant suffered smoke inhalation.
Vehicle scratched
Narberth police are seeking information after a vehicle parked in the town's High Street had its front nearside wing mirror and door scratched. The incident occurred sometime between 8 and 10 am on Saturday, May 26. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Narberth police station on 0845 330 2000.
Car damaged
A silver Ford KA was damaged whilst parked outside the Village Hall, Manorbier, for 30 minutes on Monday morning. At the time of the incident, sometime between 9.30 and 10 am, the driver, who is employed as a carer, was dealing with one of her clients. On return to the vehicle, she found the driver's side door and wing had been damaged by a single scratch. Aerial taken
A roof aerial was stolen from a Mercedes A class car parked at St. Julian Terrace, Tenby, sometime between 6 pm on Saturday and the same time the following evening. Anyone with information is asked to contact PS108 Lewis at the town's police station on 0845 330 2000.
Uncharitable thieves
Local police are seeking information after thieves entered premises on The Ridgeway, Saundersfoot, and stole two green Macmillan Cancer collection boxes, along with two black Nokia 1100 mobile phones. The theft occurred sometime between 1 pm on Tuesday, May 22, and 22.55 pm the following evening. Police are attempting to locate any disposed green collection boxes in the area. Grant for Blues Festival
The organisers of the Tenby Blues Festival have received a financial gift from the town council. Councillors agreed at their meeting on Tuesday night to give a donation of £500 to this year's event, which takes place from Friday, November 9 to 11. Co-ordinated and promoted by Tenby Events, the Blues Festival will feature a host of local and international artists in concert as well as workshops at venues all over the town. Council backing Tenby for website
Mayor, Clr. John Griffiths, has given his and the town council's support to Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism's new official Tenby town website. The organisers of the website, visittenby.co.uk, have written to the Mayor to see if he would consider appearing at an official launch for the new site along with Tenby Chamber of Trade and Tourism president, Howard Morris. The organisers have also offered the town council a reciprocal link to their own webpage from the new site. "If the website raises the profile of the town and its council, then we will most certainly give it our backing," commented Mayor, Clr. Griffiths, at Tuesday night's meeting of the council.
