Sheep rescued

Tenby Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) recovered a sheep from the cliff beneath Valleyfield Top on the Giltar cliffs last Thursday. Concern had been raised by a local member of public who spotted the animal's plight. The sheep was brought to the cliff top by cliffman Adam Rees and released to rejoin the flock grazing nearby.

Appeal for information

Police are appealing for information after three gold chains were stolen from Silver Forest, High Street, Tenby, sometime between 3.30 and 4.45 pm on Wednesday. Around the same time, three shirts were stolen from the town's County Clothes. Police are anxious to speak to a male person, aged between 20 and 30 years, who was dressed in black and carrying a black rucksack. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC270 Pugh at the town's police station on 842303.

Indecent graffiti

Indecent graffiti was sprayed onto the walls at the public toilets, play area equipment and road signs in Clunderwen over the Bank Holiday weekend. The graffiti was sprayed in black paint and anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Narberth police station on 860389.

Sports hall cash boost

Plans for a new £1.2 million leisure centre in Whitland are running smoothly, thanks to a lottery boost. The money for the sports hall, which will serve local schools and residents, will partly come from the £1.7 million received by Carmarthenshire County Council from the Big Lottery Fund to enhance leisure facilities in the county.

Phone theft

Police are appealing for information after a mobile 'phone was stolen from the ladies toilets at the Swan Inn, Jameston, sometime between 9.30 and 10 pm on Saturday. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC270 Pugh at Tenby police station on 842303.

Window damaged

Damage was caused to a window at Tenby Junior School sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday.

Taken to hospital

A 70-year-old woman was taken to hospital on Sunday after falling on the Paragon Steps, Tenby. Coastguards and ambulance personnel went to the aid of the woman at approximately 5.15 pm. She was initially knocked unconscious, but regained consciousness while coastguards were transferring her by stretcher to the ambulance. She was taken to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest.
