Valentine's Produce Market: If you are planning a special celebration on Valentine's Day, then we suggest that you go to the Whitland Produce Market on Saturday, February 8, in the Whitland Memorial Hall between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm. There, you will find excellent local Produce brought to the market by local producers. Vegetables grown in Angle, plants nursed in Llanteg, cakes and other delicacies baked in Whitland and Cwmfelin Boeth, delicious jams, chutneys, sauces and preserves made in Whitland and Llanboidy, eggs from chickens who are really free range, beef and lamb from the hills of Ciffig, deliciously splendid chocolate bars from NomNom Chocolate (proper Welsh chocolate) and those mouth-watering cheeses made in by Caws Cenarth in the lovely and lush valley of the river Cych. Also, new this month, artisan Welshcakes with a twist on the traditional, lovingly made by hand by Blasus Welshcakes. In addition, there will be some special Valentine's products on offer from most producers, like the Strawberry and Pink Champagne Jam from Sarah Cook's new range, just in time to give as a delicious present to someone special. Don't miss it!
