The final week of the summer term saw the Year 6 pupils celebrating their time at Tenby Junior School with a prize-giving afternoon followed by a prom.
In the afternoon, children were presented with trophies, certificates and Records of Achievement as a lasting memory of their time in the school.
Headteacher Mrs. Llewellyn welcomed governors, parents and friends in the celebration of the success Year 6 had achieved over the year.
Jasmine Etheridge and Lewis Catt, the school ambassadors, gave an excellent speech on behalf of all Year 6 paying tribute to all the staff and highlighting the events they had participated in over the last year.
The sports ambassadors, Tia Brace and Jay Brace, gave a detailed synopsis of the sporting events that had happened over the year.
Mr. Andrew Williams, former deputy head of the school, then presented the prize winners with their trophies. Class teachers then presented every child with their ROA's.
The children then returned to school in the evening to their prom, all dressed up! The boys in tuxedos and the girls in their ball gowns, all were looking extremely smart!
The evening started with the class representatives thanking the staff and PTA for all their hard work over the last four years. They then enjoyed a wonderful buffet kindly produced by the kitchen staff; the entertainment by Steve Briers had the children dancing all night, as well as the staff. Thanks go to the PTA for all their hard work in making the night a success, and certainly a night the children will cherish.
