Pictured are pupils from Tenby Junior School who braved the icy waters to take part in Tenby's Boxing Day Swim as 'Legends' and managed to raise a total of £1,983 for the school, which will be put towards funds for the nature garden and a Year 6 trip to London. The band of brave dippers also scooped the 'best fancy dress' prize for the junior section. Also seen amongst the fund-raising pupils, along with teacher Mr. Andrew Williams, are George and Anna-May McBeth, who managed to raise £1,222.33 themselves.

Urdd swimming success

Congratulations to members of Tenby Junior School's swimming team who recently enjoyed success in the Pembrokeshire Urdd Swimming Gala. Bethan Davie came first in the breaststroke event, and along with team-mates Casie Paxton, Sydney Vickery and Jade Thomas also enjoyed success in the freestyle relay and medley relay competitions, winning both. The girls will now represent the school in the Welsh Finals at Swansea tomorrow (Saturday). Other pupils competing who enjoyed success in various events were - Daniel Evans (2nd freestyle), Madison Vickery (3rd backstroke), Sydney Vickery (3rd freestyle and 2nd backstroke), Dominic Ciccotti (2nd backstroke), Jade Thomas (3rd butterfly), Bethan Davie (2nd individual medley).
