No galas to report on this week, but other things are going on which we need to tell you about.
Firstly, there is a pool closure coming up. The facility will not be available between December 8-14. We should be back to normal on 15th, but please check before you turn up at the pool. (County swimmers please note that the Milford Haven pool is also closed during this period).
As we stated in our last report, the club AGM is to be held on December 8. The meeting will take place at the Leisure Centre at 7 pm on the pool balcony. The pool will be closed at the time, so there will be no training that night, but please make every effort to attend the AGM.
There are a large number of outstanding gala entry fees owed to the club - please make sure you settle your accounts as soon as possible. This also applies to the club shop.
There is an annual mum's night out coming up, and the details of that are also on the notice board. All mums welcome!
Congratulations to Steph Amos, who has just passed her referees exam, which is the highest ranking swimming officials qualification.
The Sunday afternoon swimming sessions have now started. Please note that these cannot continue without the support of more (new) poolside volunteers. It is unfair to expect our already overworked coaches to shoulder yet more responsibility. If you would like your child to swim, please offer to help poolside. We are all volunteers, and as the old adage goes, many hands make light work. You need no prior knowledge, just come down to poolside when you arrive.
The annual club championships are now upon us. We hope you are all giving it a go. The event has now been rearranged to squeeze into two sessions, the second one coming up on Sunday afternoon. Please give this competition your support.
The Dolphins' Christmas party will take place on Sunday, December 21, at the Saundersfoot Sports and Social Club from 7 pm. All our swimmers are welcome to come along with their parents for a fun evening. We are looking for children's/family raffle prizes, so if you can contribute, please bring something along on the night.
