The Summer Term has been extremely hectic this year with lots of events and trips. Years 5 and 6 visited the Welsh Assembly where they were met by Ms Gwyther AM and spent a very enjoyable day. Mrs. Davies's class indulged in some face painting and took part in the Year 2 football tournament. Years 2 and 5 spent a day in Tenby. First listening to the story-telling in Tenby Museum and then down to the beach for an hour for a picnic and a play on the sand. The school was almost empty that day as Year 6 were spending the week at Morfa Bay and Year 4 were lucky enough to be invited, along with their teacher Mr. Kelly, by Mr. Parry to Carn Springs. They spent a wonderful day exploring Mr. Parry's vegetable garden, meeting his chickens, ducks and geese (and all their chicks and eggs!) and exploring the wildlife and wild plants around the lake. After a picnic by the lake, the day finished off with bug catching and identification and a display of fishing by Mr. Hicks and Mr. Brock. Luckily there were plenty of volunteers to help them catch a trout which they then safely returned to the water. The Fun Run and School Fete held to help raise funds for the school trips later in the term was another success, even though the weather was against them and the run had to be postponed until the following day. Following a visit to the school to discuss starting a 'Walking Bus', the well attended meeting led to a trial 'Walk to School Day' which proved extremely popular with one 'bus' walking from Milton and along the old road through Sageston and the other 'bus' starting at Kesteven Court in Carew and walking down Birds Lane to the school. Both collected lots of pupils along the way, who all enjoyed their journey so much that plans are being made to make it a regular event.

Do you recognise these pupils behind the painted faces?
