As always there has been a busy start to the new school year at Sageston CP School. Years 3 and 4 pupils,as well as their coach, Mr. Kelly, had an exhilarating time taking part in the tag rugby festival.

The School Council got involved in running this year's Book Fair and helped make it even more successful than usual. Apart from providing their labour to set up and run the week long-event, they also helped with promoting the fair and came up with the very popular idea of having a 'Coffee Afternoon' on the Thursday.

A favourite annual event the Harvest Festival took place in Carew Methodist Chapel, which fortunately is large enough to take the huge selection of goodies brought in by pupils. It proved to be a perfect setting for the service and the voices of the School Choir, as well as all the individual class contributions, including Year 6 pupils' energetic performance of 'Shoo-wop-de-waddy-waddy'. Once again, all the donated items were auctioned that evening to raise money for charity.
