Pennar Hall in Pembroke Dock's fundraising appeal is going well.

The committee is really pleased to report that they have passed the outline proposal stage with the Big Lottery's People and Places grant scheme and have been invited to submit a full application to them for the enhancement project at the hall!

Also, it's fabulous news that over £2,700 has been raised in donations from the community of Pennar and Bufferland in Pembroke Dock towards the £30K needed for the building works needed to waterproof the hall to lay a new pathway around the hall.

This money has been raised from individuals from the community and also from local businesses; Mainport donated a very generous £500. Pembroke Dock Town Council have also granted up to £1,500 this current financial year in acknowledgment of how vital the hall is to the local and wider community. If any local businesses or individuals would like to donate to the appeal, they can get in touch with Liz Cook, treasurer, Pennar Hall, on 01646 621811.

During the summer months, the committee is running monthly bingo to raise money towards the appeal; last month £140 was raised and many local businesses donated raffle prizes.
