The spring term is well under way at Netherwood, and sixth formers have already sat the first AS modules to be taken at Netherwood. Two new international students have joined us, Joe Sakol from Thailand, and Kin Ki Lui from Hong Kong, and already they are settling into our increasingly cosmopolitan family.
PRE-PREP
The Pre-Prep pupils enjoyed a visit to the soft-play area in the Dinosaur Park as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Meyrick, and had a wonderful time.
They have all been very busy, with Kindergarten looking at size and age through nursery rhymes, Year 1 and Reception going on imaginary journeys to Egypt, and Year 2 researching how the world was made.

NETBALL
This year, Netherwood's Under 16 netball squad are proving a real force within the county, which, when you consider the size of the school in relation to our competitors, is quite amazing, and a testament to the talent of the girls, and the coaching skills of PE teacher, Mrs. Shirley James.
So far this term, Netherwood have beaten Milford 21-2, lost to Pembroke School 13-8 after a fiercely contested match, and beaten Greenhill 21-17.
Last week they took part in the Inter-School Tournament at Tasker-Milward and began in fine form by beating Pembroke School and Milford School. Unfortunately, they ran out of steam, and finished in overall fifth place. However, the whole squad are to be congratulated on a fine effort.
Squad members: Jo Griffith, Georgina Berridge, Eleanor Murray, Naomi Davidson, Eveanna Jenkinson, Elisha Garrett, Elizabeth Halpin, Charlie Hurley, superbly led by captain, Genna Pawlett.
PARENTS' EVENINGS
The first of this year's parents' evenings takes place on Tuesday, February 12, in the School Hall, from 7 pm until 9 pm. This will be for parents of pupils in Years 11 and 12.
It will also be an opportunity for parents of prospective sixth-formers to meet head of sixth form, Mr. John Holland, and other sixth form tutors to discuss subject options.
Netherwood prides itself on offering tailor-made courses for individual pupils. Why not come along and see just how many subjects are on offer.
LOOKING FORWARD
A non-uniform day is planned in aid of the Welsh Children's Hospital, and members of the senior school are hard at work rehearsing for the musical, 'Copperfield and Company' to be performed on March 21 and 22.
