Watersports: Thirty Year 6 pupils, accompanied by Mrs. Davies, Miss James and Mr. Harries enjoyed a full week of activities at the Watersports Centre, Pembroke Dock.
Poets and Authors for a Day: Pupils in Class 3 and Dosbarth 4 enjoyed two visits to Scolton Manor, firstly working with poet Francesca Day and later working with storyteller Daniel Norden. During their visit, pupils saw various agricultural machinery and wrote poems and stories about the equipment.
Kerbcraft Road Safety: Training has once again commenced for all Year 1 pupils - a wonderful opportunity to raise these young children's awareness of road safety.
Play for a Day: A group of children were involved in the project 'A Play for a Day'. During the day, they wrote, produced and performed a play called 'Good King Henry'. It was a very enjoyable experience for the children.
Shoe Boxes Project: For the past year all the pupils have participated in this project, collecting learning resources and sending them to the children in Cuzco in Peru. This contact was made by a former pupil, Sadie Rodea, who spent a year working in Peru.
Last week, Sadie gave an illustrated talk to the children on her experience. A link was made between the two areas while Sadie was there. The children asked many interesting questions and were pleased to hear all about Sadie's different experiences.
Macmillan coffee morning: This was held again in the school hall and was well supported by both parents and visitors. A large raffle was organised, along with a Paddington Bear raffle which was well supported by the children. Winners were as follows: plant, Paul Harries; fruit, Lois Basnett; wine, Fin, D3; meat voucher, Luke Howells; wine, Paul Harries; Gallery voucher, Mrs. Simpson; wine, 860382; candle, Ann Morris; lotion, Charlotte Rawlings; chocolates, Crystal, C3; bottle, Rev. P. Lewis; chocolates, 860818; Paddington Bear, Megan and Morgan Lewis.
Girls Football Festival: A number of girls travelled to Greenhill School for this festival. They played a number of games and had a successful and enjoyable day.
Cycling Proficiency: A large number of Year 6 pupils have taken part in the Cycling Proficiency project organised by the Road Safety Department.
