Pupils from Golden Grove School have recently entered a competition to design a logo regarding a new initiative for schools for children to raise their attendance.

Cawl and song

A cawl and song event is being held on the evening of March 1, at Pembroke Town Hall, at 7.30 pm.

As an organisation funded by the Menter Iaith Sir Benfro, they are not allowed to make any money on anything they organise. They are helping Pembrokeshire, as a district, to get a target of £12,000 to raise money to help bring the Urdd Eisteddfod to Pembrokeshire next year.

The proceeds from the evening will go to the local appeal. Local ladies from the Pembroke branch of the RNLI will be making cawl, roll, cheese and Welsh cakes.

Tickets are £7.50 and all monies will go towards the fund.
