Now that Christmas is over most people will be thinking whether to make a New Year resolution for self-improvement.

Many will be wishing to lose weight or tone up muscles, especially if they have over-indulged in the festivities.

But, others will be wanting to kick-start their careers, improve their job prospects, meet new friends, or find out how to effectively handle that new computer.

What better way to achieve this than take a part-time course with Pembrokeshire College, thinks assistant principal Dr. Barry Walters.

"Every adult over the age of 16 should be able to find something suitable for them as there are lots of courses on offer in nine locations throughout Pembrokeshire, including Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Tenby and Pembroke Dock," he said.

"Plus, many that can be completed at work to become a more effective employee, and some can even be done on-line.

"Courses start from as little as £10. They include computing for beginners, intermediate and advanced; a range of hobby and interest subjects including how to build your own home; complementary therapies and psychology; as well as some business and management courses."

The part-time adult course brochure - 'Choices' - is available in main supermarkets, community centres and public places throughout Pembrokeshire and also can be viewed on the college website - http://www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk">www.pembrokeshire.ac.uk - or ordered by 'phone by calling admissions after January 5 on 0800 716236.
