PEMBROKESHIRE County Council has appointed a new director of transportation and environment.
Ian Westley, 43, is currently assistant director of technical services at the City and County of Swansea.
A native of Newport, Gwent, he succeeds Huw Roberts, who has taken up a post with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
A chartered engineer, Mr. Westley has worked in local government in Wales for over 20 years, having previously worked for Newport County Borough Council and Gwent County Council.
Married with four children, he is due to take up his appointment in November.
