Three new galleries will be opening to the public at Scolton Manor this Easter, designed specifically to display toys, games and play-themed exhibitions.
The Nursery Gallery suite, located in the Manor house’s old nursery, will house a number of fascinating exhibits.
Travel back in time with the 20th Century Toy-Box in the old nursery gallery or view a display of unusual dolls of all nations - and Scolton’s very own dolls’ house - in the night nursery gallery.
Games of all types are on display in the bachelors’ room gallery, including classics from the 1970s and 1980s - come and see your childhood favourites and enjoy a game or two!
In due course, the three galleries will also house Val Ripley’s famous dolls’ house collection which Val has very generously bequeathed to Pembrokeshire County Council in her will.
Val’s collection continues to be housed at Ty Twt Dolls’ House and Toy Museum in Newport, which is open during the Easter Holidays on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Entry to Scolton’s Nursery Gallery suite is included in the normal admission price to the Manor which is £3.50 for adults, £2.35 for concessions and children over 4, or £9.35 for a family ticket (two adults and up to three children).
