Blood cancer charity Bloodwise, along with local supporters Chris Brace and Simon Rossiter, are planning their very first Tenby Winter Walk. The five-mile walk will take place on February 25 starting at Tenby Rugby Club and energy company, Western Power Distribution are lending their support to the event.
Entry to the walk costs £10 for adults and £5 for children, which includes a Bloodwise t-shirt and a buffet at the end of the walk courtesy of Tenby rugby club. All money raised goes directly towards the charity’s life-saving research and patient support services.
Rachael Davies, regional manager for Bloodwise, said: “We’re very grateful for all the support we’ve had in Tenby in recent months and for all the hard work that Chris, Simon and friends have put in to raising money and increasing awareness in the area. We were also extremely happy to have been the benefitting charity of the Tenby Round Table beer festival and one of the benefitting charities of the Boxing Day Swim. All of the activities that have taken place have helped to raise awareness of our charity and of blood cancer. This is our first walk in Tenby and we’re looking forward to the day. Everyone is welcome to join us, it’s really easy to sign up online or call the office to register.”
