The scene at Narberth Road in Tenby this week where works are taking place to remove the small existing crossing island near the junction with Glen View Crescent and provide a new controlled crossing.

Said a spokesman for Pembrokeshire County Council: “The facility will provide a safe pedestrian route from the direction of Serpentine Road - and the schools - to Narberth Road.

“It will also include provision for service and school buses to stop, pick-up and drop-off safely at this location.”

The scheme is being funded by the Welsh Government through its Road Safety Grant initiative.
