DURING the past three months, the wardrobe and props room at the Torch Theatre has been transformed into a sound studio, thanks to generous support from Texaco, Pembrokeshire Action Team and Torch Theatre artistic director Peter Doran and Torch staff Patrick Beegan and Tony Adams.

Award-winning musicians James Crisp and Jerome Davies will be based at the studio, recording music and sound effects for Torch productions. They will also be carrying out work independently and have already written music for S4C, ITV, the BBC and Channel 4. They are currently working on the soundtrack for BBC drama 'Almighty God,' and a six-episode documentary on the Corus steel industry closures in Wales.

The duo have recently produced a CD of film soundtracks entitled 'Forever and Tomorrow' and are currently recording a second CD, scheduled for release in March.

Another area that will be developed in the studio, is audio literature. Local poet Anthony Davies is currently recording his book 'Moments to Remember.' Radio plays and talking books will also be recorded from the Torch Theatre studio.

Interested individuals and organsations are encouraged to contact the studio for more information or to make a booking, via Jane Evans in the marketing department, on (01646) 694192.
