Following the resignation of Geordie Fraser, officials of Pembroke County Cricket Club are once again looking for a new secretary. Unfortunately, Geordie Fraser, who is recovering from his recent heart attack, was advised to relinquish the post on medical grounds. He took office at the annual general meeting of the County Club in February this year, after the post had been vacant for a two-year period, in succession to long serving countysecretary Bill Marchant. Speaking to Observer Sport, County Club chairman Dave Morris said: "Geordie had settled into the post extremely well and has proved to be both an efficient and popular County Club secretary. He has made a big impact during a comparatively short time in office and will be greatly missed. "It is a great shame that he has been advised to resign. We understand the reasons and are delighted that Geordie is making such good progress following his treatment in hospital. All cricketers in Pembrokeshire will want to extend best wishes to Geordie for the future."
