Sir, I am writing regarding last week's article titled 'Council concern over roof plan'. This roof plan application was submitted by my husband and I - primarily because the existing flat roof is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. It is also an eyesore. I would like to stress that contrary to details in the article, which may have been misleading, the proposed plan is for a pitched roof only and not for 'a whole new floor put into the building with a roof on top'. I wish to clarify this, as the difference in height between the two is considerable. Being born and bred in Tenby, we have nothing but the town's best interests at heart and have stressed that we are very keen to ensure our plans are in keeping with our beautiful, historic town. However, it should be noted, the same cannot be said for other buildings overlooking the town walls! We would like to invite any members of Tenby Town Council to come and look at our proposed plans in detail on site. On close inspection, we hope that everyone will agree that the proposed pitched roof would be a vast improvement on our existing roof and would not detract from the town walls.

Mrs. Jessica Fecci,
