The Mayor of Tenby will soon have a brand new set of civic robes to wear when attending events. At Tuesday night's meeting of the town council, members agreed that it would more economically viable to opt for new attire rather than repair the existing robes. Following a warning from Mayor, Clr. Trevor Hallett, that the current robes were in need of repair before the material started to deteriorate, the town clerk contacted Michaels Civic Robes of Bristol, who after discussions, advised that it would be cheaper to purchase a new set. The new Mayoral robes will come in a heavyweight superfine doe-skin.
