When Narberth born railwayman, Mr. John Thomas, left for Swansea in 1924, grateful inhabitants of Saundersfoot and district presented him with a beautiful silver tea-service 'in appreciation of his courtesy while acting as stationmaster'.
Thanks to the generosity of John Mathias and Guy Thomas, grandsons of Mr. Thomas, that tea-service now forms the centrepiece of a new railway display at the Wilson Museum.
Those interested in Narberth station's history may be pleased to know that the model of the station can be seen working during Civic Week alongside an exhibition of railway photographs taken by the model's maker, Mr. Trevor Lewis.
