A new member has been elected to serve on Narberth Town Council.
In a recent by-election for the rural ward vacancy, Valerie Judith Bradley, an independent candidate, was the clear choice of the electorate when she scooped 30 votes.
The three other candidates who stood in the by-election, which saw a turnout of 24 per cent of the ward's 273 electorate, were: Frederick Stephen Thomas, who netted 17 votes; Dawn Jane Coley, who polled 11 votes; and Kenneth Ralph Knight (independent), who received six votes.
The vacancy for the rural ward seat arose following the resignation of Clr. Mrs. Elizabeth Brenchley.
