Somerfield in Tenby opened its doors to a new-look store on Wednesday morning.
Attending the opening were Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown, representatives from Somerfield head office, members of the Avenue Centre and, of course, staff from the store.
The new layout and design of the store is designed to make the premises feel fresher and brighter, with an aim to make shopping more pleasurable.
The store was officially opened by shopping service volunteers, Simon Cotton, Tracey O'Brien and Gaynor Monaghan, who all attend the Avenue Centre in Tenby. The Centre offers a free shopping service for those who have difficulty attending the shops in person. Volunteers pick up a list, purchase the items at Somerfield and deliver the good directly to the customer.
As part of the celebrations, balloons and goodie bags were handed out to children and a small queue of people arrived before 9 am to be the first to shop in the new-look store.
Somerfield will be holding a fun-day at the store for local children in the coming weeks, but no date has been set yet.
