Clr. Melanie Phillips, of Pembroke Town Council, has been working hard along with a small team of helpers to brighten up Pembroke Railway Station.
Looking tired and disused it certainly did not give a good impression on entering into Pembroke.
After a lot of elbow grease and effort, the station has now undergone replanting of wild flowers, hedges cut back, litter removed, flower tubs planted and the shelter power washed making it a welcoming entrance into our medieval town.
Clr. Phillips said: “I am delighted on how the station has improved just from a little hard work. I would like to thank Mark from PCC with the planting of the wild flowers and the watering, Sally Luck, one of our local residents, and of course Arriva with helping with this. Arriva are also in the process of installing a ‘hump’ making it easier for disabled and parents with pushchairs etc to get onto the train.”
