Pembrokeshire YFC's chain of office has been passed on for another year. Brawdy YFC's first county chairman for more than 40 years, Tim John, handed the chain over to Rhiannon Llewellin, of Llawhaden YFC, at the movement's executive committee annual general meeting last month. Tim said: "I've had a fantastic year, it's been stressful at times and it's been a lot of hard-work, but it's always been fun. "Pembrokeshire has had another very successful year in competitions at Wales and national levels, but more importantly, the atmosphere among the members at the moment is brilliant. "I wish Rhiannon every success for her year, I'm sure she'll do a brilliant job and ensure Pembrokeshire YFC continues to thrive." A former County YFC Queen and Young Farmer of the Year, Rhiannon has been a member of Llawhaden YFC for 17 years and says she is honoured to be given the chance to lead the county. She said: "Tim did a wonderful job as county chairman and I hope I'll be able to carry on his good work as best I can to have another successful year." During the meeting, Emma James, of Llysyfran YFC, was elected the new county vice-chairman. Emma is currently the county YFC Queen and Young Farmer of the Year. An accomplished public speaker, she is also the Wales YFC stockman of the year. Pembrokeshire YFC's Youth Forum also held its annual general meeting when Faye Brickell, of South Pembs YFC, took over as leader and Claire Thomas, from Llawhaden YFC, was elected her sidekick. Angharad Llewellyn, also of South Pembs YFC, was named the secretary of the forum which represents all members under 18.
