As part of two weeks of trials, Tenby's new lifeboat slipway saw a special launch last Friday of the RNLI's newest lifeboat, the Tamar class. The Tenby station is due to receive its own Tamar class lifeboat later this year. It will be the first production Tamar to go on station anywhere in the British Isles. And judging by this spectacular photograph taken by Observer chief reporter/photographer Ceris Hewlings it looks set to make quite a splash! The photograph was taken from the viewing gallery inside the new lifeboathouse.
