The lovely weather this week, I'm sure was welcomed by many, especially those who finally had a chance to turn their heating thermostat down. British weather can only be relied on for being unreliable and unpredictable, with recent snow, ice and this week's sun proving this so.
God's love is different. Sometimes we can feel like an old, copper water heating tank, cold, hard and breaking down when times are difficult, but God's love is constant.
God sent Jesus to die so that we can live life to the full. Knowing Jesus means access to the well of His constant hot water, His constant love that fills us up when we are empty; that picks us up when we are down; that gives us peace when we're afraid.
It says in Romans 8:38-39 that: 'nothing can separate us from Jesus' love. Death can't and life can't. The angels won't, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep us away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are - high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean - nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.'
