On Thursday, July 5, the Inner Wheel Club of Saundersfoot held their annual Handover Dinner at the St. Brides Spa Hotel, Saundersfoot, when retiring president, Viv Williams, handed over the chain of office to Olive Spence, who is taking up the office for the second time. Viv thanked all the members of the club for all of their staunch support for her during a very enjoyable year of office. She wished Olive a very happy and successful year ahead. After an excellent meal, the club members enjoyed an evening of friendship which was enhanced by everyone wishing Nesta Williams a very happy birthday. The club will be holding a Car Boot Sale in August in aid of local charities. The next meeting will be at the St. Brides Spa Hotel on Thursday, September 6, when the members will be joined for a business and dinner meeting by the District chairman, Anne Williams. One of outgoing president Viv's last duties was to present a donation in aid of Pembrokeshire Young Carers as recently featured in the Observer and also to make a donation to the Friends of St. Teilo's School, Tenby.
