In the past few months, a new scheme has been launched by Pembrokeshire Housing Association. The local worker housing scheme is designed to give local people in full-time employment in the county added help in finding a property. Said County Councillor Wynne Evans, of Narberth: "As I have always been proactive and outspoken in the serious need for extra affordable homes, I fully support this. "It is limited to around 20 homes per year, but it is a very positive start. The criteria is that you have to be or intend to be registered with Choice Homes Pembrokeshire. You must work in the county for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you have to have secured long-term employment. Your annual household income needs to be below £26,500, and you must not currently be a tenant of the Choice Homes scheme. "I have information available for anyone who needs advice or help with this."
