History is to be made at Tenby's Greenhill School following the appointment of the school's first ever female headteacher.
Mrs. Janet Kingston will take over at the Heywood Lane school when current head Mr. Chris Noble retires on September 1.
Mrs. Kingston is currently headteacher of Risca Community Comprehensive School, a position she has held for six years. She was previously the school's Deputy Head.
"I am absolutely delighted and very excited about moving to Pembrokeshire," said Mrs. Kingston following her appointment on Tuesday.
"Greenhill is a fabulous school with a very good reputation and Pembrokeshire is a lovely county."
Mrs. Kingston, who has 30 years experience in teaching, is married with two children.
