Patients at Withybush Hospital are keeping cool thanks to some new fans bought with a donation from the League of Friends.
The new bladeless fans reduce the risk of infection from dust collecting on blades and are also quicker to clean than traditional fans.
The generous donation from the League of Friends has meant all the wards have benefited from the fans.
Ward 4 Sister, Sian Anson, said: "We are delighted with our new bladeless fans which are easier to store and more importantly easier to clean. They are more efficient and the patients are commenting regularly that they are very effective."
Lesley Jenkins, acute nurse services manager, said: "We are extremely grateful to the League of Friends who have helped us enhance the patients' environment.
"The fans arrived just in time for this hot weather and they have already been well utilised helping to keep the patients cool."
