A new ‘events group’ has formed for Saundersfoot, to fill the absence of the disbanded Chamber of Trade.

County councillor for the seaside village’s south ward Cllr Chris Williams said: In March and April, Phil Baker and I, held meetings at the Regency Hall to support a new proposed independent group to come forward to work for the community.

“It was important that residents, organisations and businesses had an opportunity to form a proposed ‘events group’ to coordinate for the village.

“We are thrilled to announce that at the launch meeting on April 30, four volunteers for the key Committee roles were unanimously confirmed: Chairman – James Bennet, Treasurer – Byron Lloyd, Secretary - Janet Milne, Social media manager - Andy Broomhall.

“There will be another meeting on Thursday, May 15 at 6 pm, where everyone is welcome to attend,” he added.
