Huw Adams from Tavernspite has recently been elected onto the board of directors of the National Vintage Motorcycle Club (VMCC) for the UK, based at Allen House, Burton on Trent.
Huw has had an interest in vintage motorcycles from when he first rode pillion in 1973 with father Henry at the Saundersfoot Run, which he has organised in the past.
Huw's association with the VMCC spans 40 years, competing in events all over the UK and Ireland. He has been a machine examiner for the VMCC for the past 10 years, helping people obtain orginal registrations of veteran, vintage and classic bikes.
He has also been clerk of the course for the Welsh National Road Trial (Auto Cycle Union) and has organised runs for the local section for the past 30 years. He has also helped with the inauguration of the newly-established Pembrokeshire Vintage and Classic Motorcycle Club.
Huw will take up the post from mid-April for a term of two years.
