Personnel at Pembrokeshire County Council's leisure centres are now better equipped to deal with people who may have a cardiac arrest.

They've received advanced training and extra equipment thanks to a £2,500 donation from the British Heart Foundation.

Staff from leisure centres in Crymych, Fishguard, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock and Tenby undertook First Responder Schemes in how to use Automated Emergency Defibrillators.

They also received special bags containing supporting equipment and were trained how to use it.

The training was undertaken by local paramedics and co-ordinated by Andy Vaughan, from Swansea Training Centre.
