A company with links to main supermarket groups has submitted a second planning application for the development of a site on the outskirts of Tenby. Having acquired options to buy land at the Twy Cross roundabout in New Hedges, last July, Liberty Properties plc put in plans for a business park, food store and park and ride facility, with the site earmarked in Pembrokeshire's Joint Unitary Development Plan as a suitable location for an out-of-town development. Last week, however, Pembrokeshire County Council received another application for the site, which comprised of a park and ride facility, 15,000 square metre business park, 4,200 square metre food store, a petrol filling station and associated car parking, landscaping and access. Tenby 2020 were among objectors opposing such a development at last year's inquiry into the JUDP, although the result of the inquiry may not be known until April 2006.
