Bank Holiday Monday sees an exciting new competition between Tenby and Saundersfoot Bowls Clubs, sponsored by Messrs. W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd., Funeral Directors, of The Old Rectory, The Norton, Tenby. Pictured with the Rossiter Trophy, which will be contested on August 28, are Tenby chairman David King-Thomas, Saundersfoot chairman Geoffrey Vigus, Macky Brace, and main sponsors, Simon and Richard Rossiter, of Messrs. W. and M. J. Rossiter and Sons Ltd. Co-sponsor of the pairs competition is Golden Charter Funeral Plans, Britain's leading independent funeral plan provider. "We are delighted to be sponsoring this new tournament," said Simon Rossiter. "Sponsoring this competition enables us to support a sport which brings pleasure to the community which we have been serving for over 50 years and which lives up to our co-sponsor's philosophy to Live Life to the Full. "This year's event will be staged at Tenby, but we are pleased that Saundersfoot have agreed to host it next year, and from then on, look forward to it alternating between the two clubs every year." As well as the magnificent trophy, there is also a £150 first prize up for grabs, plus £80 second prize and £40 third.
