On Wednesday, a team of 11 children headed up to Pembroke Sports Centre to represent Pembroke Dock Community Junior School at the South Pembrokeshire Urdd Netball competition.

After only a few weeks of practise, the team played three other local schools and racked up amazing wins of 11-0, 10-1 and 11-0 to take them through to final against Golden Grove.

An exciting final ensued, with Pembroke Dock ultimately winning five goals to four in a very close and evenly matched contest.

The excited Pembroke Dock team now travel to Narberth in the New Year for the next round.
