Neighbourhoods in Pembrokeshire are being urged to get into action. Neighbourhoods In Action is taking place from May 19-23 throughout Pembrokeshire. It follows on from the successful Not in My Neighbourhood week in October last year. This year, the event includes a themed roadshow, community projects and enforcement activity. Sally Thompson, of Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership, said: "We have been asking residents to nominate areas which could be improved through the community projects aspect of the week. "We have had a number of suggestions come forward, ranging from litter picks to cleaning graffiti and repainting of areas, and are now looking out for volunteers to help with these projects. "The neighbourhood policing team for each area has a list of their projects and anyone interested in volunteering can contact their local team on 0845 330 2000. "There are a large number of agencies involved, but as the name suggests, it's all about neighbourhoods in action, so I would urge people to come forward and help us make a difference in their community." Neighbourhoods In Action will be taking place in and around the following towns with a roadshow running from 9 am in the following locations: Haverfordwest - Monday, May 19, Morrisons car park; Milford Haven - Tuesday, May 20, Tescos car park; Tenby, Narberth, Saundersfoot - Wednesday, May 21, Town Moor Car Park, Narberth; Pembroke and Pembroke Dock - Thursday, May 22, Asda car park; Fishguard, Crymych and St. David's - Friday, May 23, West Street car park, Fishguard. Anyone wanting more details should contact the Pembrokeshire Community Safety Partnership on 01437 769669 or their local neighbourhood policing team on 0845 330 2000.
