Urdd Gobaith Cymru held it annual Swimming Gala for Pembrokeshire Primary Schools at Pembroke Swimming Pool on Wednesday, November 27. Swimmers from 25 schools took part and a total of 105 races were held, with 395 competitors taking part in the individual races and 368 competitors in the relay races.

The standard was exceptional again this year and the winners will represent the county at the National Gala to be held in Swansea on January 11, 2003.

The Urdd development officer, Mr. Eurfyl Lewis, thanked the starters, stewards, referee and timekeepers from Pembroke Swimming Club for their support and co-operation.

He also wished the winners well at the Urdd National Swimming Gala.
